Most of you know by now I am a (relatively) happy new iPhone owner. I have been meaning to do a write up about the phone and my experiences as a new customer, but I wanted to give it some time and have the new gadget smell and hype wear off.
Most of you also know Apple’s new Mobile Me service has been enduring some scrutiny in the media lately. Adding intrusive software onto more computers, being down for 1% of users, and just overall not sucking.
Well today I went to go sync my iPhone and Apple decided to display a full screen advertisement in iTunes before I could control and sync my iPhone. WTF Apple? You were all over Microsoft for behavior of bundling software. I do not want your crappy Mobile Me service. Why don’t you open up your calendar API and SDK’s so we can sync with other services like Google Appes for your domain?!!
